TROA, supported by LUXBET, is offering a $50,000 cash bonus to the connections of the horse that earns the most number of points in the 2013 TROA/LUXBET Winter Championship Series Heats and then subsequently wins the Series Final.

The Terry O’Sullivan trained Hollowlea is the leading points scorer on 27 points following Heat 7 at Warrnambool. An extraordinary effort considering he competed in 4 heats without winning, finishing 2nd, 5th, 2nd and 4th respectively.

Hollowlea needs to win the Winter Championship Final on Saturday 6 July at Flemington to collect the $50,000 bonus.

Win, lose or draw Hollowlea’s connections will not go home empty handed. Simply for competing and finishing the series as the leading points scorer, Hollowlea has won his owners Mr and Mrs K Peach, Terry and Robyn O’Sullivan a corporate box for 24 guests at Flemington on Girl’s Day Out.

Hollowlea, a 5yo bay gelding by Hidden Dragon was a smart 3yo. A winner of the Bill Stutt Stakes-G2 at Moonee Valley, and the Henry Bucks Stakes-LR at Flemington he was an impressive third in the AAMI Vase-G2 on Cox Plate day behind subsequent Cox Plate placegetter Rekindled Interest and VRC Derby winner Lion Tamer. Hollowlea has struggled to recapture the stakes performances of his 3yo career, however he has proven to be a consistent contender in the Winter Championship Series and may take home a winter bonus for his connections on Saturday.
